SCHS EVENT: 7th Annual Mayor's Cup Putting Tournament:

The board of the Historical Society has decided to reschedule our July “Mayor's Cup” Golf Putting Tournament, in favor of a golf event next year that will be designed to incorporate a more “historical” relevant setting and ambiance.

The Society has been remodeling its activities and programs in the last few years to provide “historical” synergies where possible.  For instance, the promotion of our new “Museum Store” historical photograph line has added value and excitement to the community booth we staff at the Village Art Fairs held on Avenida Del Mar.  People love to stop and look through the historical photos we have on display, and this leads to informative and lively discussions about the value of the city's historic resources.

A big “Thank You” to all who have made the Mayor's Cup event so successful in the past, and here's looking to making it even better next year!
